The Migrant's Coat

A 6 day durational installation created at Tate Modern

in partnership with Counterpoint Arts May 22 - 27. Both public and members of ELTA embroidered maps of cities from around the world and the coat was assembled by Sonia during the 6 days. On its lining

are the sayings that migrants brought to their new countries.

Here are some more images of the coat and headdress.

This was part of a project co-ordinated by Counterpoint Arts working with Loughborough University, The Open University and The University of Warwick. about connection and dis-connection of people across national borders.
